Page Six notes Benevides went into cardiac arrest due to the extreme temperatures raging throughout Brazil as a result of a dangerous heatwave. The National Institute of Meteorology reports that parts of Brazil reached a high of 137F.

However, Page Six also reports Taylor was distraught by the news that one of her Swifties had passed and shared her grief in a statement on Instagram. She wrote, "I can't believe I'm writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show... I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this...
