Things just got easier for drivers in Delray Beach.

The George Bush Boulevard Bridge over the Intracoastal has reopened, after being stuck in the up position since early March.

Palm Beach County officials say the bridge has been deemed safe and operational, though intermittent closures are to be expected as continued monitoring is planned.

Back on March 3rd, the bridge experienced a significant malfunction during an opening.

An inspection found that the main shaft and gear sheared in two pieces, causing the bridge to be stuck in the up position.
