NORTH PORT -- The investigation into the disappearance and apparent death of Gabby Petito enters a new phase.
The FBI's Tampa office confirms that it is executing a search warrant at the Laundrire family home in North Port.
A Twitter post says that no further details can be provided in an "active and ongoing investigation."
Fox News reports that FBI agents moved folding chairs and tables into the Laundrie home and escorted Laundrie's parents out, calling the home a "crime scene."
This follows an announcement by North Port police that they would not be searching the Carlton Reserve nature area for Laundrie this morning and would not be conducting interviews on the Petito case.
