Pandemic Changes Black Friday Holiday Shopping Trends

T-minus 2 days until Black Friday, but thanks to the pandemic, lots of stores have been offering Black Friday deals since Halloween. Bankrate's Ted Rossman thinks this means you won't be seeing long, crazy lines or people camping out overnight in front of store fronts this year. Rossman says he thought early Black Friday offers would translate to sales. But because of coronavirus restrictions and shutdowns, people are not in great financial shape. There won't be many holiday parties, so Rossman predicts people will spend a lot less than they normally would.
