COVID-19 Surcharges Popping Up At Restaurants & Retails Stores

More Miami-Dade restaurants are open this afternoon as the cities of Miami, Miami Beach and Hialeah give the A-OK to let restaurants get back to business. Customers may notice some changes, especially on the bill. Some retail stores and restaurants are adding a surcharge for all the sanitation they have to do to comply with the new normal rules and regulations. Ted Rossman with CreditCards.com says you should expect to start seeing COVID-19 related surcharges on most of your bills, including doctor's offices where patients are being charged extra to cover personal protective equipment for staffers.
