"Truth in Accounting" releases its new financial State of Cities report and it turns out Miami is in the red. The report shows Miami is spending more than it takes in, to the tune of 10-thousand-600-dollars per taxpayer for all the debt it has accumulated. Spokesman Bill Bergman says Miami isn't alone, 63 of the nation's 75 most populous cities carry financial burdens. The financial news is good for Tampa which is actually working on a 17-hundred dollar surplus when you look at its liquid assets minus its total obligations.
