Not Guilty Plea From Ex-Marine, Sex Offender, Allegedly Behind PBIA Breach

US-POLITICS-TRUMP

An ex-Marine pleaded not guilty Monday in an incident at Palm Beach International Airport, while President Trump was preparing to depart earlier this month.

37-year old Brandon Mark Magnan allegedly claimed he was with the Marine One detail and made it past two security checkpoints, showing counterfeit credentials, before being caught by a deputy.

Sheriff Ric Bradshaw says he posed no threat to the president.

"He wasn't even close to getting involved in anything that was going to be on that tarmac. He wasn't even remotely near where he could have caused any type of problem at all."

Magnan told a judge that the incident was "blown out of proportion," but gave no details.

He is a registered sex offender, being dishonorably discharged from the Marines after a conviction of abusive sexual conduct.
