Katy Perry Sets Release Date For New Single 'Harleys In Hawaii'

Katy Perry has another single up her sleeve called "Harleys in Hawaii" and it's set to be released on Wednesday (October 19).

Earlier today, the pop star took to Instagram to break the news and share the artwork for the song, which features her on a Harley Davidson motorcycle to match the song's context. Perry filmed the video for the track during a July trip to Hawaii. The song, which was co-written and co-produced by Charlie Puth, follows Perry's sporadic rollout of 2019 singles, following "Never Really Over" and "Small Talk." Oh, and if you want more Perry, make sure you grab a copy of the two most recent singles on vinyl in honor of Black Friday.

"To be on the back of a motorcycle in Hawaii with the air blowing on your face, it’s so beautiful," Katy recalled in an interview about the song. "I can remember specifically where I was; the street corner I was on in Oahu, whispering to Orlando [Bloom] and saying 'I'm going to write a song called 'Harleys in Hawaii’. And I did. That’s something that will come at some point."

Meanwhile, Puth spoke briefly about the collaboration in our recent interview with the singer/songwriter. "That's actually what I came in listening to, the mix," he said of the the song in mid-September, admitting that he was still approving the latest mix. "She's gonna do all the promo coming, but I had a lot of fun making that song with her. She actually came up with the title. She was like, 'I want to write a song called this.'"
