Kelly Clarkson Makes Her Talk Show Audience 'Roar' With Katy Perry Cover

It's been a month since Kelly Clarkson launched her daytime talk show, and though we love everything about it our favorite part might be her Kellyoke segment, where the pop star covers some high profile songs (and executes them flawlessly, but that's not surprising). On Friday (October 11), she added Katy Perry's "Roar" to her catalog, effortlessly belting out the empowering anthem while greeting her audience.

The 37-year-old's repertoire also includes The Jonas Brothers' "Sucker," Sia's "Chandelier," and Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats," among many others. With all this great content, Clarkson should put out a Kellyoke covers album.

The Kelly Clarkson Show airs every weekday at 2 p.m. EST on NBC. Watch Clarkson cover "Roar" below.

Even with a daily talk show, Clarkson somehow found time to reprise her role as coach on The Voice's 17th season and is expected to return next season as well. It was recently revealed that Nick Jonas will be making his debut on the show for Season 18, replacing Gwen Stefani who will be back in Las Vegas for her Just a Girl residency in 2020.

Earlier this week Adam Levine opened up about quitting the show after working as a coach for 16 straight seasons.

“I do miss it, but I also don’t miss how much I had to work. I was just constantly working for so many years," he divulged. "Very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed, and all that, but just to be able to stop in this moment to spend time with my new young family and just have the greatest time ever.” The Maroon 5 frontman and his wife Behati Prinsloo share two children together: Gio and Dusty Rose.
