Fifth Harmony's Dinah Jane Signs Solo Deal With L.A. Reid's Hitco Label

Dinah Jane is one step closer to launching her solo career as the former Fifth Harmony bandmate has signed a record deal with L.A. Reid's Hitco label, Variety reported on Thursday (August 16).

As per the report, Jane joins a roster of stars like Outkast's Big Boi, as well as new rappers Skinnyfromthe9 and Yella Beezy. Additionally, The X Factor alum is expected to drop a solo single in the coming weeks and currently working with a string of songwriters and producers like Priscilla Renae, Mozella, Nic Nac, Neff-U, JR Rotem, and Blessed from A Pop. Jane's new deal is a full circle moment for the singer, who first worked with Reid when he was a judge on the Stateside edition of The X Factor. It was then that he helped bring together Camila Cabello, Lauren Jauregui, Normani, Ally Brooke and Jane to form the group.

News of the budding 21-year-old star's solo deal follows Brooke's recent announcement that she had signed with Atlantic Records. It also means that all four members of 5H have signed solo deals. Even though it's been quiet on the Jane front, 5H supporters should be happy to see the other females succeed in their own right. Cabello, in particularly, will see her solo career on display when she takes to the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday to go head-to-head in five categories, including Video of the Year.
